Vendor Enablement

ISV AppFoundry Partners may request access to the App Usage dashboards by emailing appfoundry@genesys.com and provide the following:

  • Organization (Org) ID
    • To find your Organization ID, log into Genesys Cloud and go to Admin->Organization Settings. Under the "Organization Details" tab expand the "Advanced" area to see and copy your Organization ID.
  • Region of Org
    • We can determine the region if you send us the URL you use to log into Genesys Cloud.

Step 1 - Enabling Users for AppFoundry Vendor Management

Genesys AppFoundry vendor access is controlled via Genesys Cloud authentication. If you do not have a user account in your Genesys Cloud development org then you’ll need to contact the administrator of your Genesys Cloud org, for the org provided above, and have them create a user account for each user that will need to manage your AppFoundry vendor profile and listings. To add a new Person please refer to these instructions: Add a User.

After the users have their accounts, they will need to have the proper permissions assigned to manage the AppFoundry vendor content. We are suggesting that a Genesys Cloud administrator go to Admin->Roles and create a new role named “AppFoundry Admin”. To add a new Role please refer to these instructions: Add a Role.

To the new "AppFoundry Admin" role, add the the following permissions:

  • appFoundry > vendor > All Permission
    • appFoundry > vendor > Add
    • appFoundry > vendor > Delete
    • appFoundry > vendor > Edit
    • appFoundry > vendor > View
  • appFoundry > appUsage > All Permissions
    • appFoundry > appUsage > View

Note: If these permissions do not exist in your org then the org has not been enabled for Vendor Enablement as described above.

Once the role has been saved, that new role will need to be applied to users that should be able to manage your AppFoundry content. Go to Admin->People and for each user that should have access to manage your AppFoundry profile and listings you will need to edit the properties for that user and under the Roles tab you’ll need to make sure that “View All” roles is selected and assign the new “AppFoundry Admin” role to that user. After you do that, the user will be able to log into the AppFoundry site using their Genesys Cloud credentials and they will see a “Vendor” menu to manage the profile and listings. To assign a Role to a User: Assign Roles
